When these ‘Jimi’ TEXTILE Elizabeth & James jeans arrived, I was admittedly nervous. I hadn’t worn a pair of form fitting light wash denim since the 6th grade (and trust me, they weren’t flattering back then either). But hey, I love a good challenge, especially when it comes to styling. So instead of putting just one outfit together, I styled three completely different looks! Turns out that playing around with proportion and colour can help minimize trouble areas. I actually quite like the light denim for a change, especially in the summer. I am no longer scared of you light washed denim…so ha!
I styled this with Mary-Kate and Ashley in mind, inspired by their boho chic grunge days. The look isn’t complete without messy hair, sunglasses, and bright lipstick!
Though it may not look like it at the moment, it is actually July. Floral prints and floppy hats add a carefree summer attitude to an outfit. Paired with a delightful short sleeve blazer and a vintage purse.
You can read more in my interview for ‘We Love Bloggers’ feature on these jeans in Style Republic Magazine, as well as how Sonia of Runway Hippie and Erin of Apartment 34 styled their TEXTILE Elizabeth & James Denim!
I love all the looks, but the first one is my favourite. Blame the minimalist in me, but that blazer with the white tank is perfection with those jeans. I love the pose too, very MKA 😉
you did a great job in creating 3 different looks with the same pair of jeans. They all look great. If I had to choose my fav look, I would probably go with the first one. Simple, clean and chic 🙂
Such amazing inspiration!
I LOVE the 3rd look… I'm already plotting in my head what I have in my wardrobe to re create your amazing look!
🙂

I adore the city glam look. 🙂 x
I absolutely love all three looks! 🙂
You pulled each and every one of these off so well!
I think my favourite would have to be number three though, hehe.
Gorgeous!

What problem areas?! You are beautiful! Love every look and the jeans are great. Honestly my go-to/easy/need to get dressed real quick outfits always includes jeans.
I love this!! So cool to see the same pair of jeans 3 ways…this is what style is all about! I can't decide which look is my favorite, you look beautiful in all 3 outfits! Really love the blazer and the Bardot blouse, and I love your "seaside" shot. Great idea Alicia!

I am really scared of wearing light denim as I always think it's really unflattering on me, but this is gorgeous! I love the way the jeans are fitted on the thighs but flare at the bottom, you've really inspired me to get some like this. The first outfit is my favourite but I think they are all wonderful!
I love each of these outfits. You look great in those jeans, and congrats on being featured in Style Republic!
P.S. Looking forward to seeing you next week!

I'm so glad you decided to take this challenge on, even though you were feeling nervous about it… Those jeans look phenomenal on you! And you styled them beautifully all three ways, but I have to admit that the third is my favourite, mainly because I am seriously lusting after that gorgeous Bardot blouse 🙂

PS: Your hair is looking extra gorgeous in these photos… Is it naturally wavy?
Beautiful looks, love the way you pair them
Gorgeous looks! I especially like the edgy basics look. You did an awesome job styling all of them though!

Love the edgy basics and city glam looks! I haven't worn flares in years but I kind of want some now… I can see putting them together in a cool boho/hippie look.

ah! I just commented but I had to say something- I can't believe you were nervous about these, they look awesome on you! I love how you styled them in an edgier way, it works so well and doesn't veer on the boho costumey side! So lovely! xx
The first look is my favorite 😀 I love the peach blazer. I've been looking for one foreverrr.

You definitely make those jeans work! Love the second look, with the slightly open-back top, it looks edgy but effortless. Gorgeous, girl, as always!

Daaaaaaaaaaamn. Haha seriously, could you be more beautiful? Love all three of these looks, especially the third one. I actually already saw the Style Republic feature and got really excited when I saw you were the first one listed. The Lawd knows I could not wear pale fitted denim if my life depended on it, but it looks absolutely amazing on you. Have you ever done a hair tutorial by the way? And if you haven't…can you? Thanks.
