A few favourites at H&M right now!
As I’ve been editing down my wardrobe and trying to figure out my current style, it’s been super helpful keeping a list of pieces that are “missing” within my wardrobe. I was lucky enough to partner with H&M last month on Instagram (here and here) and went shopping with some specific pieces in mind. On the list? A versatile day-to-night blouse, a great pair of high waist jeans, and a slightly oversized but somehow still flattering blazer.
There’s so much to love in H&M stores right now, it’s no surprise that I left with everything on the wishlist and had to leave behind a few standouts. The things I did purchase, I’ve had for over a month and can confidently recommend them.
Okay, I didn’t actually leave with these first two pieces, but that’s only because I already own a leather jacket similar to this biker one and the jeans were just slightly too tight in the waistband. That being said, the jacket is true to size and a great deal. Seriously, if I didn’t already own something so similar, it would be mine. These denim culottes are very small fitting, which is what ultimately deterred me. I sized up and I could still struggled to do them up. If you are smaller in the waist, then the denim culottes would work well, though I see they only have the white colour left in stock. Still a great find if you think they’d fit your frame well!
You know those pieces that come into your life that you didn’t realize you’d been missing? This blazer has filled a major gap in my wardrobe, I absolutely cannot stop wearing it. The houndstooth pattern gives it dimension, but the black and white colours keep it very neutral. I’m wearing a size 10, it fits slightly oversized as a look, but it’s very true to size if you like that ‘boyfriend blazer’ kind of fit.
I’ve heard from a few people that they can’t find these distressed jeans in store, and that’s no surprise. I found them as a solo pair, stuffed on a rack of random denim. They happened to be in my size and to fit extremely well. In denim, I am usually a 30, but you know how sizing is, I can really wear anything from a 29-31. These are a 31 and are a relaxed but still flattering fit. They have button closure, so I’d rather them be a bit big than too tight and bulging open in between the buttons.
Last, but not least, this sheer blouse has been a lovely. It goes with a ton and I still need more of these tops that are dressier than a t-shirt, but still comfortable. It’s the toughest thing to find, I tell ya! Without having to wear it with a bulky camisole, I finally figured out that wearing my Knix 8-in-1 Evolution Bra underneath and pairing it with high waisted bottoms provided the right amount of coverage.
It was so fun doing a try-on session and mini haul. Would you guys want to see more of these? Let me know!

I love this, especially because it’s from a national chain. Being in Canada can make it tricky to find great pieces, an especially at a fantastic price. These are great, and I am totally vying after that houndstooth coat!
That blazer! I love it. I really enjoyed this post and would love to see more of them!
