The Spring Staples I Can’t Live Without

There are so many trends to love this spring, and one that I am completely smitten with, is the bomber jacket.  I’ve admired from afar for quite some time, but I couldn’t quite get on board with a boxy jacket in a shiny fabric or crazy pattern that took over last season.  And though this particular bomber also came in a fun baby pink that screamed Pink Ladies in the best way, it was ultimately the black and blue that won me over.  It’s quite fitted and I especially adore the striped detailing, that is another highlighted spring trend, and pairs perfectly with simple white runners.  The fabric is more of a matte blue and matches so well with all those basic jeans and tees that I have on repeat always.

To create this sporty (I keep thinking it’s something Betty from Riverdale would rock) head-to-toe look, I partnered with Sears Canada to source the hottest spring trends online and right here at my local store!

The Sears private label collection is such a great discovery.  Not only did they have a great selection of styles, the price points are insanely reasonable.  In fact, this entire ensemble was under $100!  Now, I did happen to shop them on ‘Sears Days’ which is like winning the lottery at the cash desk, when they slash your prices right before your eyes.  But, even without the discounts, everything was such a steal.  These kinds of savings are exactly what I look for in a spring/summer wardrobe, as our time without sleeves and exposed ankles is quite limited.

Besides the bomber, I also found these high waisted black cropped jeans (that were only $24) that fit like a dream and include a five way stretch.  The other current basic that I’m happy to now own is this black cami blouse.  It’s the perfect nod to the 90’s, while draping and sitting still in all the right places.  I am considering grabbing it in another colour and I’ll definitely also be snagging this tote bag in tan or red, and this blouse soon, because you already know how I feel about a bell sleeve!
