Hello, where did July go?

I cannot believe that this month is almost over.  My concept of time has been skewed by these beautiful long days and relentless heat.  I also haven’t had a drop of coffee since last Tuesday, so I’m probably just sleepwalking at this point.

I feel rather lost in terms of summertime styling, but items like this adorable round straw bag and vintage looking sunglasses certainly help make a statement.  That’s kind of my strategy so far this season.  To rock basics and jazz them up with an accessory or two.  Although in the current heat, my approach is more like how can I be semi-comfortable without looking like a slob, while wearing as little as possible so that I don’t melt like the Wicked Witch of the West?!

Off The Shoulder Stripe Top is sold out, similar here (After a few wears, I realize that this top slides around too much at the bust. Prefer something off the shoulder that doesn’t criss-cross)
Emanuela ‘Cookies and Cream’ Sunglasses c/o Bailey Nelson (So cute and love the statemet they make.  Just a note though, they aren’t available in prescription)
White Canvas Sneakers from Vans (True to size and they will relax after a few wears. I have to replace mine every year or so because I wear them until the canvas rips LOL)
Khaki High Waist Skirt is from the recent Zara sale and is sold out, similar on ASOS here and here (Elastic high waisted skirts 4 life.  I find they’re generally true to size, this one is a large)
