On a day where I’m reflecting on what I’m thankful for, I can’t help but feel beyond lucky for having such awesome (awesome) friends. My life is full of some amazing people, I’m absolutely spoiled. Included in this list of great pals are Rob and Jo Ann. They had a wedding on Saturna Island back at the end of August and with such a stunningly beautiful event, I couldn’t help but get snap happy.
This intimate and rustic island wedding began with a ceremony at the incredibly scenic East Point. Along the path to the ceremony location, there were sticks marked ‘The Past’ with old photos of the couple, ‘The Present’ with recent photos of the couple, and then the last one read ‘The Future’. A short and sweet ceremony, but since the pair have been together for 13 years, their personal vows were extra special. All of their guests have been a part of their journey in one way or another.
Following this was a very fun and casual reception on private property that Rob’s parents have part ownership of. Something extra adorable? Rob’s parents were married at the exact same location in 1975! The party was full of great DIY touches by Jo Ann and her team of creative helpers. I especially loved her handmade wood cupcake display/centre pieces, make shift photobooth, and display of wedding party photos. Food and drink featured a serve yourself beer, wine, champagne, and sangria bar, as well as a delicious bbq feast. We all went down to the beach together to catch the sunset and then enjoyed some speeches. Then, of course, danced the rest of the night away!
Full of love and laughter, it was an honour to be a part of Rob and Jo’s wedding day. Thanks for an incredible weekend of memories you two, so happy I was able to help capture it!
Great photos! I LOVE the Polaroid photobooth!

Where did you exactly get married? Was it near a cliff? Surprisingly, you got a nice gown from a long island bridal shops somewhere. Looks good to you
