Pants Were A Bad Choice

Adam and I are lucky enough to be on the ground floor of our apartment building.  Even on the hottest summer days, our place manages to stay reasonably cool.  This does, however, trick me from time to time.  The other day, for instance, I looked out the window to see overcast skies and decided that long trousers would be the ideal choice for the day.  Already en route to the office, which is on the top floor of a beautiful old building that doesn’t have air conditioning, the sun came out and it was about 35 degrees (95 to my American friends) with NO wind.  Open windows and doors would do nothing for the completely still, baking sunshine beating down into the office and onto me, in my long pants.  The heatwave strikes again!

Speaking of which, there’s a ton of terrible forest fires raging around us and my thoughts and prayers are with those bravely battling them and for anyone affected by the fires.   Let’s all do a little rain dance and get some precipitation going!
