i try my best not to wear my
workout gear or lounging attire out of the house. i’ve learned that
lesson one too many times. it’s always when you quickly pop into a store
looking a mess that you bump into someone important, or who you haven’t seen in
ages.
way (way, WAY) back in the day, i
remember wearing sweatpants to school, to run errands, etc. it was very acceptable at
the time (or so i thought lol), because i was young. over
the years, it has become apparent to me that there are many other ways to be
comfortable and not feel like a total slob. for example, an oversized
cardigan over form fitting basics is a great way to stay warm and cozy. that way, you still look and feel great!
You're smokin hot. Seriously. I love your style and I am so jealous of your gorgeous hair. So glad I found your blog!

I have to admit, I love my sweats… But they are strictly for at-home wear. I feel bad enough going out of the house without make-up on, never mind! Although I'm not sure my version of sweatpants is quite as stylish as yours! I love the pop of colour from your turquoise scarf, the colour suits your skintone so beautifully.

That's a super cute comfy outfit! Love the cardigan 🙂 I never leave the house in sweats unless I'm going to the gym!

Your haaaaair! It's SO gorgeous! And agreed, there are so many other super comfy options to choose over sweatpants/loungewear – leggings, an oversized sweater or sweater dress, boots and a scarf is my go-to comfy cozy wear! That said, on the rare occasion that I do sport yoga pants in public, I always wear my gym sneakers and a zip up hoodie so that people may think I actually am on my way to or from the gym! 😉
I confess I used to love Juicy Couture velvet track suits for more than hanging at home, I will never be caught in public wearing them again, this is a lovely "go to" outfit, the layers work great and look super cozy!

I came to same conclusion a year ago. I used to wear sweats to uni sometimes but the past year I tried not to, other than wearing my tna's once or twice when I was sick. Leggings and comfy sweaters have become my replacement, just as comfy but more put together!
ps. you look gorgeous in these photos, as always 🙂

Love that cardigan, what a perfect fall piece! I remember my jogging pant days too… shhhhh xo
i love the scarf! love how it ties the whole outfit together
I totally agree!! Leggings are just as comfortable as sweatpants, if not MORE!
So cute, love how you styled this outfit. Leggings are definitely such a great go-to when you want to be comfortable and obviously way more stylish then sweats!

Great look, seems cosy but very stylish xx
This is your version of sweatpants, and you still look stunning and stylish! Fab layering, those boots are great too! I hope you're good Alicia 🙂 xx
So I'm pretty much in love with that sweater- it beats sweatpants any day! And I totally hear you about the not wearing of work out gear outside of the house, there is a very small gap in time when it's appropriate (note: NOT good, but not ghastly!) and by the time you're in your twenties it just doesn't work anymore!
Plus, if you can look this cute and be comfy at the same time then why would you want to wear sweats outside??
xx
Completely agree! One too many times I made a run to the grocery store, bank, etc. in my sweats and a tee, only to run in to about five people who I haven't seen in a while. Now I resort to tights & comfy cotton dresses for my version of sweatpants!

What a perfect fall outfit! You always look so beautiful & stylish 🙂
Lovely outfit, it sure looks comfy, but indeed in the non-slobby way. I always like it when knee-high socks pop out of boots, makes it always look a bit more interesting. And Adam's watch is gorgeous!

I love this look! You look seriously stunning pally, and I love how well this works as a "transition" outfit. Hope you're doing well my love 🙂

Love the scarf and taupe sweater!
So true, when you are wearing your comfy clothes is definitely when you run into people!! Or, in my case, it is often when I run into a store after the gym-and you've seen me in my sweaty gloriousness…not an ideal way to say hello! Ah but styled this look perfectly Alicia, I love that sweater, and the layered socks over the tights, so chic! You look fab as always 🙂
Happy Friday!

Great sweater and watch!
I love 'sweatpant alternatives'. I really couldn't fathom wearing sweats out and about on a regular basis, even though such a large majority of Vancouverites do!

It's true, there are so many outfit variations that are just as comfy as sweat pants but look so much better. I'm partial to sweater dresses, leggings and tall flat boots myself.
I love the look, comfy and fabulous. I remember my mom told me if I wear sweat pants- I end up as a divorced household! funny, but scary though:///
Wow! fabulous perfect outfit for me, so fashionable, cute, beautiful whatever. thanks for sharing
