i’m going to be completely honest and tell you that i loooved this outfit….but i suffered mild hypothermia because of it. now, that’s a bit of a dramatic exaggeration, but i assure you that without gloves and socks i absolutely froze. a harsh lesson to learn, isn’t it? that you can’t dress for september in january. apparently my sunny vacations have really messed with my perception of vancouver weather reality!
went for a little menswear inspired comfy (but cold) look for my lunch date with leonie of the the signature bow and randa of the-unprecedented. it was great meeting up with these lovely gals to talk fashion, work, and travel. after lunch at 8 1/2, we even got to do a bit of window shopping at scout and f as in frank. main street lunch dates are the best!
hoping for my sake, that the next outfit post will probably feature me in a parka because i really need to learn to bundle up. also, i’m apparently in the market for a parka, so if you would like to donate one to me, i won’t turn it down 😉
haha well you must have made the cold weather pretty jealous! lol <3 Love the sweater over the shirt.
I love this tomboy look, I have the exact same shoes 🙂
You rock this look so well, Alicia! And I loveeee 8 1/2… that place is so yummy.

I always love your casual looks, you manage to look put together but still comfortable in a way that I really admire. And that hat? Perfection. The feather detail is too cute!

Love the menswear inspired look! You look adorable!
Aw, you're absolutely the CUTEST, ever!! I'm totally in love with this outfit, the whole look is flawless!! And as for freezing?! Everyday, everyday, I freeze for fashion. Haha. xo veronika
This is a great outfit but yes, unfortunately with the cold weather Vancouver experienced, I had to retire any flats and bring out boots only.
Love the layering of the sweater over the button-up. That's my go-to trend right now!

My two fave details on this outfit is 1. the scarf tied to the bag and 2. the bf watch!
sounds like a fun lunch date, and haha yes you should know better than to go with no socks in Jan but hey, you look good =)
You look A D O R A B L E! I love this!

I couldn't figure out how to comment on your previous post, so I'll just leave it here: Did you see Dallas Green perform?? I'm so jealous, I love him!
I am admittedly a little jealous of how fabulous you always look in hats. I love them, but I have yet to find one that looks right.
super cute! adore that bag love
You look so cute in hats! My hair is usually too curly to be contained in hats, haha. & These shoes are adorable 🙂

@Megan Yes, sorry I disabled the comments on the last post because for some reason I didn't think anyone would have any comments on the pics. Yes, saw an intimate performance by Dallas Green and it was ahhhhmazing! Will try to do a blog post on it soon.

I love love love your outfit! Goodness I cannot stop looking at your shoes!!! Do you remember what boutique in Portland you got them from? I might be heading over soon and would love to visit that place!
Very chic, Alicia. And Adam's watch is gorgeous. Not going to lie.
I love this outfit! I love how all of neutral colours work so well to create a great look!

I love this outfit! Cute, casual and chic with just the right accessories to elevate it.
There is one way to wear an outfit like this and not risk hypothermia while still forgoing socks and gloves: swap out the hole-y sweater for a solid one and the cotton (?) trousers for wool ones.
Hehehe, when I saw the photos I thought – wow you must be getting great weather for January! And then I read that you froze! 😉
Love the necklace and sweater look.

This is pretty darn cute, girlie! Chilly or not, it's super adorable! (though yes, I haven't not worn boots since maybe November? Cannot wait to wear shoes again! Sigh!)
I have been so guilty of picking my outfits on cuteness and not warmth. I'm trying to just layer up and hope for the best:-)

Menswear? Yes please! I'm really wanting to master the menswear look, but I just can't seem to get it right. You however, hit the nail on the head!
Love the little details with the scarf, the hat, and the brogues.
Happy almost weekend 🙂 xo
P.S. I almost thought you chopped your hair in one of the shots, I was so excited!
I adore your outfit!! I guess mild hypothermia is worth it for an awesome outfit haha.
