You know what? Sometimes, you just need to rock an all black outfit. My trick to making this look more fun and less funeral, is mixing different fabric textures and a pop of colour on the nails. My inspiration? This Nicole Bridger dress. It’s soooo comfortable, it almost feels like wearing pyjamas out in public. My only complaint was that the length looked great in the fitting rooms, but when I got home, I felt like it was just a touch too long. The hemline ended up hitting my calves at their largest point, something I definitely don’t want to make appear any larger than they are! I quickly scanned my bedroom for a quick solution and there sat a pile of hair elastics. I’d remember seeing some knot details recently and tried tying the black hair elastic around like a mini fabric bun – and it totally worked! I now wear this dress all the time, knotted of course, because it’s incredibly versatile. Gives everything a bit of a throwback, I remember tying hair elastics on my shirts back in the 90’s. All trends come back around, I tell ya!
Love this all black look! You look gorge and that dress is amaze! xo
