I swear that I reach near-reptile status in the summer months. All that sun exposure really dries my skin and I’m probably not keeping as hydrated as I should be (note to self: drink more water). To avoid further damaging my skin, I was more than happy to give Dove‘s newest body washes a try. Really, anything that could possibly help me get that healthy, natural summertime glow back!
I added the body washes to my shower routine right away and have been using them for about a month now. Surprisingly more of a lotion consistency than a traditional wash, I really like the way they lather and feel on my skin. I must say, the scents are absolutely heavenly! The Sweet Cream with Peony is delightful. Slightly floral, which *hopefully* means that my husband won’t be stealing any – bonus! The Dry Oil Moisture Body Wash is incredibly soothing in both aroma and feeling. I very much appreciate the addition of non-greasy Moroccan argan oil.
After showering, my skin felt instantly softer and moisturized, even after the very first use! The biggest difference is for sure on my usually dry and scaly legs. They appear smooth, and it’s nice to know that if I forget to apply additional moisturizer to them, they’ll still be nourished and look a-okay! After the initial week of use, I noticed that my normally embarrassingly dry and cracked heels were thoroughly moisturized, which honestly NEVER happens. Finally, I won’t be embarrassed when I go for my next pedicure! Needless to say, these body washes were a seamless addition to my everyday routine.
Not only have they been great to use at home, but I’ve also made the Dove body washes a beach bag essential! After a day of sun and sand, all I want is for my skin to feel moisturized and nourished. I’m so glad I discovered these in time for these warmer months and last few weekend getaways!
