I had a brilliant idea last year to buy a winter coat with colour. This led me to an over sized purple coat on sale at Winners for half price. Oh look at that. Another item from my fashion challenge that I purchased for its 50% off tag. Hmm…I’m sensing a pattern here!
Point is, I think I’ve worn it twice. Perhaps it’s because I feel like a bit of a grape in it. But, these photos have reminded me why I bought a winter coat with colour in the first place. Who doesn’t want to brighten their most used winter staple? My only other winter coats are off white, I practically blend in with the snow! What is your favourite coloured winter coat? Perhaps I should take your advice and try a different colour next year. Maybe a khaki green?
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I’m slightly behind on posting, I’ll try to catch up asap 🙂
Adele – Rumour Has It
I've loved every piece you've shown in this challenge but this is my favourite! That purple is so nice on you and I love the length of it.
That coat is gorgeous!
Such a great coat! I love the colour. My winter coat is purple too but not nearly as stylish.
I'm a big fan of winter coats that bring a pop of color. I have a red one that I really like and wear pretty often. You should definitely wear this purple coat more; it looks great!
Coat is amazing, the color, the shape … great way too style it! Oh and you look so cute with that bow headband!
Have a nice day Ali!

Bright winter coats are the way to go! I used to have a beautiful red Zara coat, and I got so many compliments on it. Now I wear a navy Mackage coat, and I miss having a bright wool coat!
And you definitely don't look like a grape 😛
I love your purple coat! You should wear it more, it's a nice pop of color.
This coat is gorgeous. I too tend to stick with neutrals when buying winter coats but have to say I'm a sucker for red.
very cute outfit""
Pretty! Believe it or not, until this winter I didn't have a solid black coat–my coats run the gamut from tomato red to teal green to black-and-white plaid. A coat in a striking colour is a nice change, isn't it? But if you really want to perk up a black coat, a big sparkly brooch doesn't hurt…I've been getting loads of compliments on that little styling trick lately. 🙂
My favorite color for a winter coat, always, is red. I blame Love Actually. But I also really like this purple one! Cute, cute!
Love this purple coat! Love the length and the collar!! Every winter wardrobe needs a coloured coat!
That's a wonderful color! I love colored coats. I used to have a white parka but first of all, it could never be as white as fresh snow and it got dirty easily. So, I opt for colored ones now. My fave is a magenta ModCloth one I got as a gift. Great mood changer.
I love that coat. Well I love winners, and the amazing coats they have.. I always seem to buy 1 or 2 every season from there..
I was going to ask if your blog title was Adele inspired 😉 I'm loving her new album! And I love this purple coat – great find and at 50% off too!

As the owner of a purple winter coat, I salute you! You look fab in this coat! I like the way the front has this sort of rippled effect that's quite interesting.
Grape? I think this coat is awesome! I was just thinking, how did that beauty ever sit around at the back of her closet? A mystery. Looking fab, as always!
I love your purple coat!
I LOVE the ginormous, oversized lapels!! That's been one of the key things I look for in a coat for the last few winters. You're doing so well with your challenge and going so strong… keep it up, girl!!

You should wear this coat with your purple heart shorts, purple tights and your purple blouse.
