You guys, I have the travel bug in a major way. My recent time in Italy has completely ruined me and now all I can think about is how to catch a flight and see the world! I am, of course, faced with the usual unbalance of having the same amount of disposable income, but a greater desire to spend money on travel. There just might be a solution though! I was very recently introduced to the beautiful concept of travel rewards cards, and the idea is so simple. So beneficial. So adult. Anything that provides benefits to money that would be spent anyway, seems like a no brainer.
I present to you, the new and improved Capital One Aspire Travel World Elite MasterCard (don’t worry, we can refer to it as the Aspire card from now). Here’s how it works. You get 40,000 reward miles (worth $400 in travel) once you spend $1000 within the first 3 months. You’ll also earn 2 reward miles for every $1 you spend on the card.
When you redeem your reward miles, 100 reward miles = $1 towards your next travel adventure. Cardholders always receive the full value of their miles, down to the cent! AND you can even redeem reward miles for just a part of your transaction, if that’s what you so wish. If you have excellent credit and are looking for a new travel rewards card, this could definitely be the one for you! Similarly, if you need to start off a little bit smaller, there’s also the equally fantastic Capital One Aspire Travel Platinum MasterCard, which you can learn oh-so-much more about here.
All this travel reward talk really has me thinking about my next trip. If I could leave tomorrow, I’d go to London for a few days. I’d take the train up to Worcester to visit my friend and her growing family. I’d catch a flight to finally go explore Ireland. Then, I’d hop on over to Portugal and then wander around Spain.
There’s just still so much of the world that I haven’t seen, the possibilities seem endless! What about you? What would you spend your Aspire Travel rewards on?
Big thanks to Capital One for the introduction to the Aspire card and just travel rewards in general. If you’re interested to know more, feel free to ask in the comments below!
Travel rewards cards are the best. The boy and I signed up for one—not this one—last year because we figured the points would rack up really quickly with paying for wedding stuff, and we could use them towards our honeymoon. We ended up spending our points on our DC trip in August and I think we have enough for another trip in North America soon!
The Capital One card sounds like it’s one option to consider, but after doing some quick match in my head I think I still prefer the terms of my card more. 🙂
Your style in this post is BEYOND. So gorgeous. I NEEED to know where you got that dress from in the first picture- been showing it to all my friends!!
omg i love to travel thanks for the info!
