Back in the day, I used to LOVE the daybook‘s Awkward and Awesome Thursdays. As I wrote this post, that was the exact direction things were going. I looked at the calendar (yes, I had to look it up because I live a freelance life) and it just so happens to be Thursday. So here, we are, about to be both awkward and awesome together, much like I am every single day.
Awkward
– Receiving a personal monogrammed Aritzia scarf and losing it the first day wearing it out. Of course, the moment I realized it had slipped off my shoulders was the moment after our tickets were scanned for a concert and they wouldn’t let me step back outside because apparently their ‘no re entry’ policy is an extremely strict one. It was the kind of moment that Alanis Morissette would sing about. Though, I do kind of love that someone else is rocking a diamond moziac scarf with a giant ‘AQ’ on it.
– Trying to return clothing to stores. I always feel uncomfortable and end up confessing some ridiculous lie/detailed life story even though I’m just legitimately taking something back. As though the sales associate even cares at all.
– Opening a Herschel package that was left outside my apartment door yesterday and 8 hours later realizing that it wasn’t for me (and only because Alex pointed out that she had given Herschel our office address and not my home address). What are the odds that I was also waiting for a package from Herschel!? I DID think it was weird that they sent the bag I wanted in a different colour. Anyway, had to go knock on my neighbours door and explain/apologize for being such an idiot.
– Introducing myself: “Hi, I’m Alicia.” Everyone: “Hi, Malicia”
Awesome
– The casual fact that Alexandra and I are off to London and Ireland ON MONDAY. Making this happen has truly been a full time job, and yet having it all come together so last minute doesn’t even make it feel real. But it’s happening. And it’s going to be the Webster’s Dictionary definition of awesome.
– Friends who visit you with coffee and a puppy.
– My dad’s Twitter account. We just found it, and it’s gold. Love you, dad!
– Getting the entire ‘Felicity’ series on DVD for Christmas and watching it from the beginning. I mean, Scott Speedman in his prime (jk he still looks unreal) and I think I felt the same devastation that everyone experienced in 1999 when Felicity cuts her hair. Like, what a stupid move.
– On that same note, the Gilmore Girls revival.

Hahaha, sorry, I had to laugh about the Malicia thing. I accidentally opened a Christmas card intended for my across the street neighbors…but I never gave it to them because I was so embarrassed. Shhh.
HAHAHA yes! You’re the best, Rebekah. Your neighbours never need to know 😉
Love this post! I love how candid your posts are.
You’re going to have so much fun on your trip to London! It’s such an amazing city. Safe travels!

Thanks so much, Kristiana! I’m actually sitting here trying to write a new post and this was just what I needed to read to combat my writer’s block! xo
I seriously love how real you are. I also love this, was laughing a lot!

You’ve 100% made my day, thank you for saying that Julieanne! xo
What camera are you using babe?
This was shot on Alexandra’s Canon 6d with a 50mm lens. It’s the best, right?! I think I might need to invest in a new camera!!!!
