I met Zoe at a party recently and we bonded over business podcasts and obnoxiously noisy neighbours that sound like they’re bowling (what the heck is up with that?). She mentioned in passing that she owns a company called Park & Fifth, a collection of dresses and separates that are designed and made here in Vancouver. Since the struggle to find a well rounded, versatile occasional dress is so real, I made an appointment to visit her at the studio right away with Alex.
I absolutely love the effortlessly chic contemporary designs and I not only found a dress that fit, I even had a few really beautiful options to choose from. Any frock that can fit and flatter these curves AND feel comfortable is a real win for me.
The designs are gorgeous on their own, but the fact that you can also customize is seriously next level. I was able to shorten the dress to a midi length, which I think balances the neckline. In order to make sure I felt comfortable cleavage-wise, they added a stitch or two at the bust and moved the adjustable straps as needed. This made all the difference for me, as I normally have a tough time accommodating ‘the girls’. I know Alex has problems with this too, she outlined it perfectly here. I feel supported and have since worn this dress with and without a bra.
I’m mostly just so pumped to have a gorgeous, locally designed and made dress that can shine at so many different occasions. It’s such a blank canvas, the styling possibilities are endless. Really glad Zoe and I started chatting that day, because I now have my go-to gal for future events. Sigh, if only Park & Fifth had existed when I got married!

Park & Fifth has a wonderful online store, or a studio you can shop here in Gastown by appointment (or drop in on Fridays). To all my local lovelies, they currently have a pop up shop with My Modern Closet at 434 Columbia Street, Vancouver until Sunday! Perfect weekend to stop by and pick out a dress for the holidays, get the details here.
Oh my goodness…you look stunning!
Okay…I don’t typically link to other material, but this YouTube came immediately to mind when you mentioned upstairs neighbours. {If you don’t think it’s appropriate for the comments section, please delete.}
